Shows what type of judge I am, hey.

Just as the Maori team started to look like they were exerting a bit of authority in this second quarter, the Indigenous side goes straight down the other end and make them pay on the scoreboard.

It’s a brilliant heads-up play from Braydon Trindall, who spots Kodi Nikorima, now playing fullback, defending in the line just 10 metres out. He runs straight at Nikorima, chips over the top and Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow manages to grab it from almost head height and then quickly get it to ground before he loses his grip.

He’s an absolute fan favourite in Townsville, despite now playing for the Dolphins.

Nicho Hynes, who’s happily letting his Sharks teammate Braydon Trindall steal the show so far, extends the Indigenous lead with the conversion attempt.

Indigenous All Stars 16, Maori All Stars 8 after 31 minutes.
