Rod Stewart has claimed he prefers UK news and TV channels compared to American outlets as many of them “don’t know where they stand.”
The rock and roll legend has previously admitted that he has grown tired of his life in the US after the “toxic” culture which surrounds Los Angeles.
The Maggie May singer noted in the past that he doesn’t watch much TV apart from the news and recently revealed why he would be replacing watching the news with listening to music on his travels in the future.
Stewart told Radio Times: “The news doesn’t depress me. Everything interests me when it comes to politics.
“But I’m going to take a note out of Jools’s [Holland] book, because he listens to music while he’s working on his trains.
“Normally I watch Sky, then I turn over to CNN, the BBC. I go backwards and forwards on all the channels for the news.

“One great thing about this country, unlike America: our TV channels are all neutral. And they tell the truth.
“They don’t in America. CNN is anti-Trump, Fox is pro-Trump – or, it was, I don’t know where it stands now.”
Stewart recently announced that he would be returning to the UK – after moving to the US in 1975 – and explained he felt he has “no privacy” with his life in America.
GB News’ entertainment reporter Kinsey Schofield told Mark Dolan: “Rod Stewart has chosen to live full time at his home in the UK to support his wife, Penny Lancaster.

“Penny loves the life she’s made away from America and away from LA. Friends close to Rod say that he’s grown tired of LA’s toxic culture and feels like he had no privacy here.”
Schofield added that the final straw was when he “relisted” his $80million (£63million) home in LA and joked it could buy “an awful lot of marmite”.
Dolan noted that he was “delighted” to have the star back in the UK and noted there was a “brain drain” from Hollywood as other British stars such as James Corden together with Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne were also moving back.
Schofield agreed and added: “I do think it’s just kind of the chaos of some of these LAX policies when it comes to crime.

“You know, if you run into a store today and steal something, there’s a good chance that the cops are just going to let you go within the next 2-3 hours.
“What is going to keep people from behaving badly when there are no repercussions?”
