Delhi and its neighbouring areas experienced light rain this morning. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the national capital will have a generally cloudy sky throughout the day with light rain/drizzle.
The maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 25 and 13 degrees Celsius respectively.
“Thunderstorm with light to moderate intensity rain would occur over and adjoining areas of few places of Delhi ( Alipur, Burari, Rohini, Badili, Model Town, Karawal Nagar, Azadpur, Pitampura, Mundaka, Pashchim Vihar), NCR (Loni Dehat, Bahadurgarh),” the India Meteorological Department wrote in its bulletin.
“Light to moderate intensity rain would occur over and adjoining areas of many places of Delhi, NCR (Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula) during the next 2 hours,” it added.
Western Himalayan region and nearby plains to see rain and snow early next week due to new western disturbance, leading to colder temperatures.
