The dead body of a newborn child was found stuck on a spiked fence of a housing complex in Faridabad’s Ajronda village, officials said on Saturday.
Police have said that prima facia it appears that a person tried to throw the newborn baby over a wall, but the child’s body got impaled on the sharp fence.
Locals immediately reported the incident to the police after they found the child’s body on the fence. Police arrived at the spot and removed the body.
Subsequently, the child’s body was sent for an autopsy to Badshah Khan Civil Hospital in Faridabad.
The autopsy will help determine whether the baby was killed before it was thrown over the wall or if it died while getting caught on the fence.
Authorities are examining CCTV footage in the vicinity to identify and locate the culprits.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
