Football: Perlis United gets nod to enter Super League – MASHAHER

PETALING JAYA: Perlis United will be the 14th team in the Malaysian Super League.

The former M3 club have been given an “extraordinary licence” to compete in the division by the Malaysian Football League (MFL) to replace Kelantan.

The Red Warriors were not given a licence to compete this season due to failure to produce valid documents and settling arrears of their players and staff.

Imigresen, Kuala Lumpur Rovers and Harini applied for the licence, but Perlis fit the criteria set by MFL as they had better documentation and also had an assured RM5mil in sponsorship from one of their sponsors.

They also got the backing from the Perlis government led by Mentri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli.
