Nayab Singh Saini to be next Haryana Chief Minister: Political journey – MASHAHER

Haryana BJP president Nayab Singh Saini is set to take oath on Tuesday as the next Haryana Chief Minister after Manohar Lal Khattar’s resignation, along with his entire Cabinet, amidst a strained alliance with the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP), potentially related to seat-sharing disagreements. Following Saini, it is anticipated that one Deputy Chief Minister and five additional Cabinet ministers will also be sworn in.

Born on January 25, 1970, in Mizapur Majra, Haryana, Saini has carved a path marked by dedication and political acumen.

Here are more details about his life and political journey:

POLITICAL JOURNEY AND EXPERIENCE

Saini’s political journey began with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), where he crossed paths with Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.

Transitioning to the BJP, he held various local party positions, including president of the Ambala Cantonment. His commitment to the party and his OBC vote bank solidified his position within the political landscape.

Saini’s tenure as a Member of Parliament from Kurukshetra has been marked by significant contributions. He served as Minister of State for Labour & Employment, Mines & Geology, and New & Renewable Energy in the Haryana Government.

His strategic roles have depicted leadership and administrative capabilities.

Appointed as the Haryana BJP chief in October 2023, replacing Om Prakash Dhankar, Saini’s selection was seen as a strategic move to consolidate non-Jat voters ahead of crucial elections.

His close ties with Chief Minister Khattar and his track record in strengthening the party’s organisational structure position him as a key player in shaping the BJP’s future in Haryana.

In November 2023, expressing confidence in the party’s electoral prospects, the newly-elected BJP President of Haryana had aimed for over 75 seats in the upcoming assembly polls and a clean sweep in the general elections.

His vision for a strong BJP presence reflects his commitment to serving the people of Haryana and upholding the party’s values.
