This decision follows his arrest by Noida Police in relation to the suspected use of snake venom as a recreational drug at a party, as mentioned earlier.
Elvish Yadav was one of six individuals named in an FIR filed at Sector 49 police station on November 3 last year. Although the five other accused were arrested, they are currently out on bail, according to officials. The case was registered under provisions of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, and for criminal conspiracy under Section 120B of the Indian Penal Code.
DCP Noida Vidya Sagar Mishra stated earlier in the day that a case under the Wildlife Protection Act-1972 was filed against Elvish Yadav and others. He mentioned that Elvish Yadav was called in for interrogation today and was subsequently produced before the court, with the sections of the NDPS Act enhanced in the case. DCP Noida Vidya Sagar Mishra said, “A case under Wild Life Protection Act-1972, was filed (against Elvish Yadav and others). Today he was called for interrogation and was produced before the court by enhancing the sections of the NDPS Act in the said case.”
Last year, an FIR was lodged against YouTuber Elvish Yadav following allegations made by Maneka Gandhi, a former politician and animal rights activist. Gandhi accused the social media influencer of supplying snake venom to rave parties in Noida, leading to legal action against Elvish Yadav.
