As the chill thaws in Delhi, residents of the national capital are set to enjoy a pleasant week starting from Sunday. The mercury is predicted to soar to around 30 to 33 degrees during the day and cool down to around 11.9 to 15 degrees at night, as per the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
This aligns with the city’s normal climatic pattern, during which the maximum temperature averages between 31.3 to 31.5 degrees and the minimum ranges from 16.5 to 17.3 degrees.
With the city predicted to bask under clear skies with occasional partly cloudy conditions, Delhi residents will be able to enjoy the Holi festivities on March 25 in pleasant weather. The weather department predicted negligible chances of precipitation and it is likely that the festivals won’t have to be stopped on account of rainfall.
Residents have been advised to take necessary precautions to protect themselves as the temperature continues to rise, signally the arrival of the scorching summer sun. However, the moderate morning and night temperatures will provide a respite from the peak afternoon heat.
Further, the wind speed is expected to vary from calm to a maximum of 14 kmph, blowing feebly from differing directions.
