Proposed retail worker laws promising tougher penalties, including up to seven years in jail, for assaults against shop staff will be amended to include business owners after Labor admitted the Bill was “uncertain”.
Revealing the change in question time on Tuesday, parliamentary secretary Matthew Swinbourn said the Government would be amending its own Bill to clear up the laws.
