The Indian Premier League returns with weekend, with 16 Australians participating in the glamorous T20 tournament.
Pat Cummins, who has never captained a professional T20 match before, will lead the Sunrisers Hyderabad after being snapped up for a monstrous $3.67 million contract earlier this summer.
Former Australian coach Justin Langer has taken charge of the Lucknow Super Giants, while all-rounder Cameron Green has been traded to the Royal Challengers Bengaluru after a successful maiden campaign with the Mumbai Indians.
The Delhi Capitals signed Victorian cricket prodigy Jake Fraser-McGurk as a replacement player last week, while Jason Behrendorff has been ruled out after breaking his leg.
Only the fixtures for the first half of the competition have been revealed, with the remainder of the matches expected to be announced once the Election Commission of India unveils the dates of the national elections.
The IPL gets underway on Saturday morning AEDT at 1.30am, with reigning champions the Chennai Super Kings hosting the Royal Challengers Bangalore at MA Chidambaram Stadium.
