Bill Belichick’s upcoming book is ‘more of the business variety’ rather than a tell-all about his spell in charge of the New England Patriots, it has been claimed.
Back in January, it was confirmed the American would be leaving the Patriots after 24 seasons.
The 71-year-old won six Super Bowl titles with New England, establishing himself as an NFL icon in the process.
Recently, following his departure, Belichick was scrutinised in documentary series ‘The Dynasty’, which some fans think painted the NFL legend in a poor light.

It then emerged that Belichick was releasing a book following his abrupt exit.
But Page Six say the American’s new book is ‘more of the business variety’ rather than a tell-all about his time in charge of the team.
Those hoping the 71-year-old would dish the dirt are, therefore, set to be disappointed.
Belichick prefers to keep a low profile away from the sport and it’s possible he’ll keep details about his reign to himself for a little while longer yet.
In ‘The Dynasty’, Belichick was painted as an antagonist.
And Apple have been criticised for that decision, with two former Patriots stars recently weighing in on the subject.
Devin McCourty, discussing the documentary, said earlier this week: “It didn’t tell the stories of me coming and Corey Dillon.
“I mean I interviewed for five or six hours I was in New York and all they had me saying was, ‘F*** ’em all, f*** ’em all’. Like, that’s it.”
He added: “I felt like I got kinda duped.
“I thought this was going to be great the storytelling, talking about this, talking about that – everything that we all gave to the 20 years that it encompassed, they only hit anything that was negative.
“Hey, we won at a high level and guys stayed there. I could have left two times, I signed back. There’s reasons why.”
And former Patriots star Rodney Harrison has also hit out at Apple, insisting they’re wrong to make Belichick the poster boy the team’s decline in recent years.
“They’re acting like, because the Patriots have struggled over the last four years, Bill can’t coach,” Harrison stated.
“Bill made some mistakes and he wasn’t always the nicest or purest guy.
“But at the end of the day, he always did whatever he had to do to make the team better.

“Think about this: he gave me an opportunity, a fifth-round draft choice, he gave Tom Brady an opportunity, he sat down a $100 million quarterback when no one thought it was popular and started Tom Brady.
“He gives guys who are the underdog an opportunity. No one talks about that.
“When everyone else is done with a guy, he brings in a Corey Dillon. He brings in a Randy Moss. He brings in a Rodney Harrison.
“And I just don’t think he got enough credit, enough respect, enough props man this dude is the greatest coach of all time.”
Director Matt Hamachek, meanwhile, has responded to suggestions Belichick was painted in a bad light by insisting that was never meant to be the case.

“The honest answer is, I really don’t get it because I don’t really have a dog in this fight,” he said.
“People say it’s a rip job, but I don’t have a history with any of these people. I don’t have a favourite, or non-favourite.”
Belichick is currently looking for a new job.
It’s been mooted he could become an analyst, rather than returning to coaching.
