Telangana: BRS fields MLA Padma Rao Goud from Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat – MASHAHER

Former Telangana Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chief K Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday nominated former minister and MLA Tigulla Padma Rao Goud as the party’s candidate for the Secunderabad seat for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the state.

The decision came after a meeting involving BRS legislators, representatives and chief leaders, where Goud’s candidacy received unanimous approval.

Goud will be up against union minister and Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy and Danam Narender, who switched from the BRS and has been fielded by the Congress from Secunderabad seat.

Known for his dedication and local development efforts, Goud is affectionately called ‘Pajjanna’ by locals.

Telangana, which has 17 Lok Sabha seats, will vote in a single phase on May 13. Votes will be counted on June 4.
