Arvind Kejriwal doesn’t remember phone used during liquor policy drafting: Sources – MASHAHER

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, during questioning by the Enforcement Directorate, told the probe agency that he does not remember where he had kept his mobile phone, which he was allegedly using when the excise policy was being drafted, sources told India Today TV on Sunday.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief was arrested in the Delhi excise policy case by the central probe agency on Thursday and is currently under their custody till March 28.

According to sources, the Enforcement Directorate wants to extract some data from the phone which Kejriwal allegedly used to speak to Sameer Mahendru, another accused in the liquor policy case. The sources added that the Chief Minister spoke to Mahendru over the phone and told him that Vijay Nair was “his boy” and that he can “trust him”.

The ED chargesheet accused Vijay Nair, who served as AAP’s media in-charge, of acting as a middleman between the ‘South Group,’ which allegedly provided Rs 100 crore in kickbacks to the Delhi government to gain entry into the liquor retail business in Delhi.
