Australian actor and comedienne, Rebel Wilson, recently claimed that actor-comedian Sacha Baron Cohen is the Hollywood star who is trying to prevent the release of her upcoming memoir, Rebel Rising. Rebel called out Cohen on one of her Instagram stories.
“I will not be bullied or silenced by high-priced lawyers or PR crisis managers. The a****le that I am talking about in ONE CHAPTER of my book is: Sacha Baron Cohen (sic),” she posted.
Around a week ago, Rebel had shared an Instagram post on the subject without naming anyone. “When I first came to Hollywood, people were like, yeah, ‘I have a no a****le policy, that means like, yeah, I don’t work with a****les.’ I was like, ‘oh yeah. I mean, that sounds sensible or logical’. But then it really sunk in what they were meaning by that, older people in the industry. Because I worked with a massive a****le, and, yeah, now I definitely have that policy. Chapter on said a****le – it is chapter 23, that guy was a massive a****le,” Rebel had said in her video post at the time.
For the unversed, Wilson and Cohen co-starred in the 2016 action-comedy film, Grimsby, helmed by Louis Leterrier. It also starred Mark Strong, Isla Fisher and Penélope Cruz in pivotal roles.
Cohen is yet to react to Wilson’s accusations.
Meanwhile, Wilson’s memoir, Rebel Rising, will release on April 2.
