Actor Kangana Ranaut thanked the BJP leadership and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving her ticket for the Mandi seat in Himachal Pradesh for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
“I extend greetings to everyone on Holi. This is my ‘janmabhoomi’ and it has called me back. I am fortunate… If they choose me, I will serve them. I am overwhelmed, this is an emotional day for my family and me. I express heartfelt gratitude to BJP chief JP Nadda…BJP’s culture is one of cooperating. Believing in the same, I will walk with them, and we will win. We will have a big campaign,” Ranaut said.
On making her political debut, Ranaut said that she would win the seat due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s hard work and his good deeds.
Kangana Ranaut had hinted at entering electoral politics last year, saying if Lord Krishna blesses her, she would contest the next Lok Sabha elections. BJP’s fifth list, announced today, named 111 candidates across 17 states. The list included the name of actor Arun Govil, who played Ram in the popular TV serial Ramayan. He has been fielded by the BJP in the Meerut seat.
