Bach’s distinctive contrapuntal rumble announced the Double Concerto played by violinist sisters Rebecca Glorie and Andrea Mendham with Fremantle Chamber Orchestra at St Patrick’s Basilica on Sunday.
One then two violins took the lead for the opening Vivace movement, matching style and timbre with the ebb and flow of the music in a dynamic performance directed lightly by conductor John Keene.
