NEW DELHI: Ludhiana MP Ravneet Singh Bittu quit Congress and joins BJP ahead of Lok Sabha elections on Tuesday. Bittu after joining BJP thanked PM Modi and said that he is confident that PM Modi shares a lot of love for Punjab.
He further said that PM Modi and home minister Amit Shah wants to do a lot of development work in the state.
“I am thankful to PM Narendra Modi…I can say with confidence that PM Modi and Union Home Minister share a lot of love for Punjab and they wish to do a lot for the state…Why should Punjab be left behind?, ” said Bittu.

Bittu won 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, defeating Simarjeet Singh Bains from Lok Insaaf Party by 76,372 votes. In 2014, he defeated Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Harvinder Singh Phoolka with a margin of 19,709 votes.
