Former Telangana Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao on Tuesday claimed that Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will join BJP, following Congress’ debacle in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The BRS leader, addressing the party leaders and workers in Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad, said, “In contrast to Rahul Gandhi’s ‘chaukidar chor hai’ claims, Revanth Reddy is saying PM Modi is his elder brother.”
Asserted that Congress will hardly win 40 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, KTR said that Revanth Reddy will be the first Congress leader from the state to switch his loyalty to the BJP after his party’s debacle in Lok Sabha polls.
In a scathing attack against the Telangana Chief Minister, the BRS leader claimed that Reddy has sent Rs 2,500 crore to his party high command in Delhi ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
“The Chief Minister sent a fund of Rs 2,500 crore to his party high command in Delhi for election expenditure. We have a Chief Minister who speaks like a pickpocket, but fails to provide an able administration to the people of the state,” local media quoted KTS as saying.
KTR also alleged that the Congress in the state has been raising corruption issues by the former BRS government to divert public attention from corruption in Revanth Reddy’s government.
