Police are searching for a man who failed to return home from a bushwalk in Sydney’s southwest nearly two weeks ago.
Darren Banks, 57, was last seen at a home in Macquarie Fields, about 4pm on Friday, March 15.
Last Thursday, police found Mr Banks’ vehicle on the Starlight Trail, Wattle Ridge, about 15km west of Bargo in southwest Sydney.
Police believe that Mr Banks may have been bushwalking towards Ahearn lookout or Emmets Flat campground area, about an hour south of Campbelltown.
There are serious concerns for the bushwalker’s welfare as it’s considered out of character for him not to be in contact with his family.
Mr Banks is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of medium build, about 180cm tall, with short brown hair and beard and brown eyes.
Anyone who has been in the Starlight Trail area who saw Mr Banks, his vehicle or has information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
