Man charged and dog seized in connection with fatal chihuahua attack in Glasgow | UK News – MASHAHER

A man has been charged after a chihuahua was killed in a dog attack in Glasgow.

Police Scotland launched an investigation after a 25-year-old woman was injured and her pet dog killed in an attack in the city’s Finnart Street on Monday 18 March.

At the time, the force said the woman was left with a wound on her back but did not require any medical treatment.

It was initially reported by the police that the incident involved “two XL bully-type dogs”.

In a later appeal, the force described the animals as “two large dogs” as the breed had yet to be confirmed.

It was then established that while two dogs were present, only one was responsible for the fatal attack.

In an update on Thursday, police announced a 49-year-old man had been arrested and charged in connection with offences under the Dangerous Dogs Act.
