Over 20 employees of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in the United States have alleged that the company engaged in unlawful discrimination based on race and age, reported The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).
At least 22 American professionals accused TCS of abrupt layoffs, replacing them with workers from India on H-1B visas.
TCS has denied the accusations of discrimination in a statement.
“Allegations that TCS engages in unlawful discrimination are meritless and misleading. TCS has a strong track record of being an equal opportunity employer in the US, imbibing the highest levels of integrity and values in our operations,” TCS said.
