It was coming and on their fourth crack at the Sharks’ line the Raiders have scored thanks to a Matt Timoko tap on for James Schiller to cross in the corner.
Jamal Fogarty nailed the sideline conversion on his non-preferred side.
Canberra made a flying start to their season and they’re continuing it at Shark Park with Xavier Savage slicing through some poor defence to score the second in the 18th minute.
The Raiders lead 12-0 in the first half.

MATCH PREVIEW
Fan favourite Corey Horsburgh is back for his first NRL game of the year as the Raiders take on the Sharks in the first of two Easter Sunday clashes.
Horsburgh missed the opening rounds due to a suspension. He made his return to the field via New South Wales Cup last week and after initially being named in the reserves he’s been elevated to the 17 to replace Elliott Whitehead.
Whitehead, Canberra’s skipper, has been ruled out due to a calf injury. New recruit Zac Hosking will start in the second row with Horsburgh to play off the bench.
Seb Kris is also back in the 17 after missing last week due to a concussion and James Schiller comes in for Albert Hopoate, who suffered minor burns in a cooking accident this week.
Meanwhile, the Sharks’ pack has copped a major hit with Dale Finucane (facial injury), Toby Rudolf (ankle) and Royce Hunt (calf) forced to sit this one out.
Coach Craig Fitzgibbon has had to get creative to cover the losses and has moved the versatile Siosifa Talakai to the second row with up-and-comer Kayal Iro stepping in at centre.
Both sides are coming off their first loss of the season. The Raiders went down 18-10 to the Warriors in Christchurch last week, while the Sharks were humiliated in a shock 32-6 loss to the Tigers.
