STORY: Canada’s Niagara region has
declared a state of emergency
ahead of a rare total solar eclipse on April 8
The phenomenon is expected to draw
massive crowds to the region’s popular waterfall
The city’s mayor estimates up
to a million visitors will be there
compared to the 14 million it sees in a year
(Jim Diodati, Niagara Falls mayor)
“To get one million at one time, would be by far the biggest crowd that we’ve ever had.”
