Nargis Fakhri celebrated 10 years of her film Main Tera Hero, which marked the actress’ third theatrical release after the John Abraham starrer Madras Café and her much-talked about debut Rockstar with Ranbir Kapoor. While audience saw Nargis in an intense roles in these two films, for the actress, doing comedy in this quintessential David Dhawan style fun entertainer was indeed a new experience. Apart from that, the actress also shared memories and experience of shooting with other actors like Varun Dhawan and Ileana D’Cruz.
Nargis Fakhri expresses gratitude as Main Tera Hero clocks 10 years of its release
Nargis Fakhri, who essayed the role of a gangster-businessman’s daughter Ayesha Singhal in the film, recalled the memories and expressed gratitude over bagging it as it completes 10 years on April 4. Speaking about the film’s achievement, Nargis said, “Time flies by so fast! It feels like it was just yesterday when we shot the film. I had a great time working with director David Dhawan, and my co-stars Varun Dhawan and Ileana D’Cruz. It is rare that a film like Main Tera Hero comes by and keeps you laughing throughout. We have spent some great moments shooting the film, and I will always cherish it. I am glad to have secured the opportunity to play a fun and lighthearted role as Ayesha Singhal after playing grim and intense roles in Madras Café and Rockstar. Ayesha Singhal allowed me to unload the heaviness and intensity from my previous characters and helped me to connect more with the audience.”
For the unversed, the Rohit Dhawan directorial is a comedy entertainer starring Varun Dhawan as Cheenu, a happy-go-lucky, street-smart college student who catches the eye of Ayesha Singhal. But he is already in love with his classmate Naina. Also starring Arunodhay Singh, Anupam Kher, Evelyn Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, among others.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Nargis Fakhri was last seen in Tatlubaaz.
