Canberra Raiders vs Parramatta Eels live scores, Jordan Rapana injury, updates, team news, SuperCoach scores, stats, match centre, Matt Timoko try – MASHAHER

Raiders centre Matt Timoko has scored one of the tries of the season to open the second half. Canberra lead Parramatta 17-4 after 50 minutes.

After setting James Schiller free down the right wing with a nice ball, Timoko got it back in support and despite looking as if he’d be tackled 20m out, he beat Clint Gutherson and Dylan Brown to score in the corner with an incredible put down.

MATCH PREVIEW

Two sides coming off disappointing losses battle it out on Sunday afternoon as the Canberra Raiders host the Parramatta Eels at GIO Stadium to close out the action in Round 5.

Ricky Stuart’s men crumbled in worrying fashion against the Sharks last week, throwing away a 18-0 lead and received quite the rocket from their coach after the game.

“Don’t be giving praise to people that don’t deserve it,” Stuart fired back at a journalist who said centre Matt Timoko had a “solid” performance.

The Raiders will be without Zac Hosking (concussion), with Ata Mariota named to start, although Corey Horsburgh could be elevated from the bench.

Elsewhere, Parramatta went down 17-16 in an Easter Monday thriller to the Tigers and will welcome back Bailey Simonsson on Sunday.

He replaces Morgan Harper while Wiremu Greig comes onto the interchange for Brendan Hands.
