Delhi spinner Axar Patel stunned everyone with a terrific caught and bowled against Mumbai at the Wankhede Stadium. Playing their fifth match of the Indian Premier League, Delhi desperately needed a win. Axar Patel gave Delhi the much needed breakthroughs by picking the wickets of Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan in the 7th and 11th over.
After bowling out Rohit Sharma outside of the powerplay, Axar Patel got into battle with Ishan Kishan. The left-hander was finally cutting loose in the Indian Premier League 2024 and hit Axar for a massive six through the leg side. The next ball was flatter from Axar Patel but Ishan was able to connect the ball well. Ishan hit it straight back to Axar, but the spinner was able to stick his left hand out, where the ball got stuck. Two of Axar’s wicket really helped DC make a comeback into the contest after the initial assault from Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan.

Axar bowled four overs on the day, picked 2 wickets by giving away 35 runs on the day. Fans and experts lauded Axar Patek’s catch, which completely changed the momentum of the game in DC’s favour on Sunday.
