KOTA KINABALU: Two men who went missing when trying to leave an estate in the Semporna district on Sunday (April 7) have been found safe.
The duo, age 22 and 24, were found at around 9pm, some 4km from the Sagaria Estate entrance.
The Sabah Fire and Rescue Department said both men were unhurt.
Based on earlier information from the department, the two victims were traveling in a car, which got stuck in mud.
The duo were said to have no choice but to leave their car and try to walk out of the estate.
However, other estate workers reported them missing when the duo did not turn up at the estate entrance as they believed the men had lost their way.
A distress call was made at 7.12pm, and a search operation was mounted.
The search operation ended at 9.41pm after the two men were found.
