Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar shared an exciting insight into his career journey ahead of the much-anticipated release of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, which features him alongside Tiger Shroff for the first time. Akshay Kumar revealed a surprising twist in his career trajectory before his upcoming high-octane role as he shared his early career aspirations to join the army.
Akshay Kumar gets candid about his alternate career if he wasn’t an actor; says, “I wanted to be in the Navy or Air Force”
For the unversed, Akshay’s father was a notable Indian army officer and hence the actor expressed his desire to follow his footsteps, if he didn’t have a thriving career in the acting profession. He said, “If I wasn’t in films, I’d definitely join the army. I wanted to be in the Navy or Air Force, but destiny led me to films.” Lucky for us we now get to watch the action hero add his star power to the big screen as he takes the role of an Indian Soldier in reel life.
However, interestingly, Akshay Kumar has played the role of a cop as well as an army officer in his reel-life in the past. And now yet again, he is gearing up to essay the character of an agent in the forthcoming Ali Abbas Zafar directorial which will feature Tiger Shroff as his junior. Apart from the duo, the film will also star Manushi Chhillar, Alaya F as the leading ladies with Prithviraj Sukumaran as the antagonist and Sonakshi Sinha in a special appearance. The highly anticipated action saga, produced by Jackky Bhagnani releasing this Eid on 11th April.
Apart from this, Akshay Kumar also has several other films in the pipeline which includes Sarfira – a remake of Soorarai Pottru, Welcome To the Jungle – the third film of the comedy franchise, and Sky Force which will see him reunite with Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur, among others.
