Diljit Dosanjh ‘defends’ Punjabis, Sunil Grover leaves Kapil Sharma stunned on Great Indian Kapil Show – MASHAHER

The cast of Netflix’s upcoming film ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’, Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra, along with their director, Imtiaz Ali, will be promoting their film on Kapil Sharma’s show ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’. Netflix shared a promo of the episode on social media.

In the promo, Kapil teases Parineeti about marrying politician Raghav Chaddha. He says, “Ye rajneeti karte karte, Parineeti Parineeti kaise karne lag gaye (How did he fall for you while doing politics?)” His statement left the actor blushing. Diljit sang a song from ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ album in his soulful voice.

Imtiaz also joked about Punjabi people getting in the mood for some drinks by evening. To this, Diljit responded, “Usually everyone gets in the mood by evening.” Kapil noticed how, being a Punjabi, Diljit got defensive and pulled his leg saying, “The Punjabi got offended and is now defending Punjabis.”

The promo also features Sunil Grover as his popular character Gutthi. While he tries to entertain the audience with his antics, he also takes a dig at Kapil saying, “I’m not the same person I was six years ago. Now I will give four replies to one thing you say.”

Kapil and Sunil had a fallout seven years ago, after which the latter left Kapil’s TV show. They have reunited for ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ and now often crack jokes about their fight.

‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ narrates the untold story of the slain Punjabi folk icon Amar Singh Chamkila, famously called the ‘Elvis of Punjab’. He was killed at 27. Diljit Dosanjh plays the titular role in the movie which will stream on Netflix from April 12.
