Oppo is gearing up to launch a new smartphone, which the company claims will be the world’s first device with a full-level waterproof rating. It will be called the Oppo A3 Pro and the handset will make its debut on April 12. The device is dustproof and waterproof as it has support for an IP69 rating. The company has even claimed that the A3 Pro’s display is both waterproof and resistant to falls. Oppo says its new offering is also “super durable.”
The 5G phone will arrive in China first and then it is expected to make it to other markets. At the moment, it is unknown whether the Oppo A3 Pro will come to India or not, although the brand has previously launched A series phones in the country. While we will have to wait to see if this A series phone will make it to India or not, we do know some of the possible specs of the device.
Popular tipster Digital Chat Station has claimed on the Chinese social media platform – Weibo – that the Oppo A3 Pro has a massive screen as well as a battery. It features a 6.7-inch 1080p 120Hz OLED curved screen and a typical 5,000mAh battery under the hood, as per the tipster. It is said to be powered by a MediaTek 7050 processor, which is a 5G chip.
It will reportedly be backed by 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. The teasers suggest that the Oppo A3 Pro will have a triple rear camera setup. At the back of the device, we could see a 64-megapixel f/1.7 main camera sensor. The rest of the details regarding the camera setup are unknown.
