Lesmurdie Falls: Vertical rescue underway, rescue chopper sent to help save injured person – MASHAHER

A boy — believed to be under the age of 10 — has fallen down Lesmurdie Falls as an emergency rescue operation is underway.

The RAC Rescue chopper has been dispatched to help save an injured boy at Lesmurdie Falls in Forresfield.

A St John spokeswoman said they received a call around 3.30pm that a child — believed to be a male under the age of 10 — fell a significant distance at the Perth hills tourist hotspot.

A DFES spokesman said firefighters are working to conduct a vertical rescue — with one person believed to be injured at the bottom of Lesmurdie Falls.

“Career and Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service firefighters and DFES State Emergency Service (SES) volunteers are on their way to the scene.”

More to come.
