BTS’ star singer Jungkook has often expressed his admiration for South Korean actor and idol IU. In an old interview, when all the BTS members were asked to reveal their ‘ideal type,’ Jungkook began singing IU’s song, ‘You and I.’ When others insisted him to share the name, he said shyly, ‘IU Sunbaenim.’ For the unversed, Sunbaenim is a Korean word for ‘Senior.’
In another talk show, Jungkook was asked by a popular MC if he had a girlfriend, and when he shook his head, JK was asked about his ideal type, to which he once again responded with IU’s name, this time with a smile.
In yet another interview, the pop star was asked what was the first record he ever bought and Jungkook asked the host, “Do you know IU?” Thereby implying that the first music record he had bought was of IU’s.
In another sweet instance, BTS was asked which girl group they would like to get close to and Jungkook being a true-blue fanboy of IU, took her name.
A while ago, Jungkook attended IU’s concert in Seoul with a few of his members. He also marked his presence at IU and Park Seo-joon’s film premiere of Dream.
Currently, the BTS sensation is enlisted in the army.
