PETALING JAYA: MCA will not campaign in the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election if the candidate is not from Barisan Nasional.

The party’s political development committee announced the decision via a statement after a meeting at the party headquarters on Friday (April 19).

Among the matters discussed was the upcoming Kuala Kubu Baharu state by-election to be held in Selangor.

“After a thorough deliberation, it is the unanimous decision of the committee that if the proposed candidate is not a member of any Barisan Nasional component party, MCA will not participate in any campaign efforts,” it said.
