IPL 2024 | Ramandeep Singh reveals main man behind success as KKR finisher after RCB cameo – MASHAHER

KKR’s Ramandeep Singh has credited Abhishek Nayar as the man behind his success as a finisher for KKR this season. Ramandeep, who was bought in the auction by KKR, has been used as a floater, who is tasked to go hard at the ball from the get-go. He would do just that during the match against RCB at the Eden Gardens on April 21, Sunday.

Ramandeep scored 24 off just 9 balls to power KKR to a total of 222 in their 20 overs on a track where slower balls were sticking a bit. Speaking after his knock, Ramandeep said that Nayar deserves all the credit for his success as a finisher and said the KKR coach prepares them for how they’re supposed to play the game and the practice sessions are like a match in itself.

“I think all credit to Abhishek Nayar sir. He prepares us for how we are supposed to play the game,” said Ramandeep.

Just want to what the ball: Ramandeep

Ramandeep would reveal his mindset and said that he is just looking to whack the ball and was lucky that it was his day on Sunday. The KKR batter said that the slower balls have been working well and hasn’t been easy to get away from and feels that 222 is a good total.

Ramandeep also said that ‘legend’ Sunil Narine could be on show as well on the track.

“I just want to whack the ball and luckily today was my day. Slow bumpers were not easy to hit so I guess that’s what we are going to go. 222 is a really good total I think and unless it’s a yorker, pace-on is really easy to hit on this wicket.

“We’ve got a legend in the side in Narine and we will want to watch the legend on show today,” said Ramandeep.

Ramandeep would hit two boundaries and two sixes in his innings. The KKR batter would target Mohammed Siraj in the 19th over and hit him for two sixes.
