Mckenna Grace, the in-demand actor who appeared in “I, Tonya” and “The Handmaid’s Tale” and recently starred in “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire,” is set to lead the upcoming film “Everything I Never Did.”
The young adult-targeted picture is written by screenwriters D.J. McPherson and Scott Taylor and will be directed by Australia’s Jeremy Sims (“Last Cab to Darwin”).
The film will be produced by Spencer McLaren (“La Brea,” “Dive Club”) of Aspect Entertainment, alongside McPherson and Jack Christian under their newly-launched production banner Filmology Features.
“’Everything I Never Did’ is a bittersweet love story that throws away cliches and sparks with originality, spontaneity, and surprise,” the producers said. “It tells the story of troubled teen Liam Black and Jenna Reid (Grace), a seriously ill girl, who together embark on a transformative journey of living and loving in the face of adversity.”
Added McPherson, “We are thrilled to finally announce ‘Everything I Never Did.’ It’s a project that is very close to our hearts, and we’re ecstatic to have Mckenna Grace leading our cast. Her profound ability to connect with complex roles will breathe life into this poignant narrative. We are thrilled to see her bring Jenna to life on the big screen.”
Further casting details are yet to be announced. Similarly, distribution and international sales roles have not yet been disclosed.
Though Grace has a busy dance card, production of “Everything I Never Did” is expected to begin later in 2024. The Luminate database shows her in pre-production on Mandalay Pictures’ “Straight Lines” as cast and executive producer, with two other titles in post-production: Lionsgate’s “Anniversary” and Hungry Bull Productions’ “Spider & Jessie,” on which she is again cast and executive producer.
Grace is also set as a producer and cast member on the in-development project “Rabbit Cake” for Amazon MGM Studios, and is cast in Searchlight Pictures’ “Perfect” and Alloy Entertainment’s “99 Days,” both of which are listed as in development. She is represented by CAA, Entertainment 360 and attorney Stewart Brookman.
