Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan reacted to a viral video of Malayalam legend Mohanlal dancing to his song ‘Zinda Banda’ from the film Jawan. Mohanlal’s energetic performance, which also included a dance to Rajinikanth’s ‘Hukum’ from Jailer, took social media by storm. Shah Rukh Khan acknowledged the video shared by a fan page on X (formerly Twitter) and expressed his gratitude to Mohanlal.

“Thank you Mohanlal Sir for making this song the most special for me now,” SRK wrote. “Wish I had done it half as good as you. Love you Sir and waiting for dinner at home as and when. You are the OG Zinda Banda.” (“OG” stands for “Original Gangster” and is used playfully here to commend Mohanlal’s performance.)

The ‘Zinda Banda’ track from Jawan features Shah Rukh Khan dancing alongside over 1,000 female dancers. Choreographed by Shobi Paulraj, the song was composed by Anirudh Ravichander with lyrics by Irshad Kamil. The high-budget music video reportedly took five days to shoot.
Shah Rukh Khan enjoyed a successful 2023 with back-to-back hits. He kicked off the year with the action-packed Pathaan, co-starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. Jawan, featuring Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra, Vijay Sethupathi, and Deepika Padukone, followed suit. He concluded the year with the Rajkumar Hirani directorial, Dunki, alongside Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and Boman Irani.
