SRH skipper Pat Cummins channelled his inner Pushpa to thrill fans with a few dialogues in Telugu. Cummins, who was bought by SRH for 20.5 crore rupees during the IPL 2024 auction has been leading the team from the front. SRH currently sit in third on the IPL points table under Cummins’ leadership.
Star Sports would release a video on social media showing Cummins talking in Telugu. The SRH skipper’s first dialogue was from the famous ‘Pokkiri’ movie where he said that once he commits, he doesn’t listen to anyone else.
“Once I commit, I don’t listen to anyone else,” said Cummins.
The next one he asked people what they thought of Cummins and said he is mass. The next one was the famous dialogue from Pushpa, where he said SRH is not a flower, but fire.
“What do you think of Cummins? Class? No, he is mass!”
“SRH is not a flower, but fire.”
Cummins would also perform the famous Pushpa hand gesture by Allu Arjun as well.
How well have Cummins and SRH performed this season in IPL 2024?
In the 2024 IPL season, SRH has demonstrated exceptional performance, setting new records and dominating the league. SRH achieved the highest score in IPL history, scoring an impressive 287/3 against Royal Challengers Bangalore. This record-breaking total was complemented by their remarkable run-rate of 11.2, the highest in the league. Additionally, SRH openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma set a new benchmark by scoring 125 runs in the powerplay against DC, the highest in men’s T20 cricket for any powerplay phase.

Cummins has also had a significant impact on SRH’s success this season. Under his captaincy, SRH has secured five wins in seven matches. Cummins has picked up 9 wickets in 7 matches. SRH will next face RCB at their homeground in Hyderabad on April 25.
