The impact of teacher shortages is being felt in public schools across WA, with two-thirds of teachers reporting they had to take merged classes in the past year.
Figures from the latest State of our Schools survey by the Australian Education Union reveal that 70 per cent of schools had been affected by teacher shortages, while 83 per cent of school leaders said it had become harder to fill teaching vacancies.
