Pune man gives Rs 75 lakh as contract to kill son over property dispute, arrested – MASHAHER

A man was arrested in Pune after he gave a ‘supari‘ (contract) of Rs 75 lakh to kill his son over a property dispute. Six people, including the boy’s father, were arrested in the case.

Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar said the father, Dineshchandra Argade, a real estate developer, was upset with the wayward behaviour of his son Dheeraj Argade. The police official said the boy’s behaviour was impacting his business.

On April 16, around 3:30 pm, assailants on a two-wheeler shot Dheeraj Argade near the Argade Heights building. The boy survived the shooting.

Later, Dheeraj Argade filed an FIR, following which the crime branch began an investigation. Subsequently, the police arrested Dheeraj’s father and five other accused – Prashant Ghadge, Ashok Thombre, Praveen Kudle, Yogesh Jadhav and Chetan Pokle.

During the investigation, it was revealed that Dineshchandra Argade had disputes over family matters and property. The accused had paid Rs 75 lakh as ‘supari‘ to kill his son Dheeraj.

Dineshchandra Argade’s family and relatives were questioned by the police during the investigation.
