Actor Gurucharan Singh, known for his role as Rohan Singh Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has been missing since April 22, sparking rumours of depression on social media. However, his co-star Samay Shah has dismissed these speculations, emphasizing Singh’s positive demeanour and ongoing plans.

In an interview with Indian Express Shah stated, “I still cannot believe that people are saying he was depressed. He is not that kind of a person.” Describing Singh as kind and supportive, Shah revealed that Singh had numerous personal and professional endeavours in the pipeline, including work on a Punjabi film.
Shah also recalled his last conversation with Singh, which occurred 4 to 5 months ago. During the hour-long call, Singh offered motivation and encouragement, leaving a lasting impression on Shah. Despite their limited communication in recent months, Shah emphasized their close bond, stating, “I was like a son to him.” Meanwhile, CCTV footage from April 28 captured Singh in New Delhi’s Palam area, carrying a backpack near the airport, providing authorities with vital clues in their search efforts.
As efforts to locate Singh intensify, the President of the All-Indian Cine Workers Association has urged authorities to expedite the investigation into the actor’s disappearance. With speculation swirling and concerns growing, Shah’s reassurance offers a glimmer of hope amidst the uncertainty surrounding Gurucharan Singh’s whereabouts.
