Rosie O’Donnell is making her TV return on Max’s “And Just Like That.”
The comedian revealed she’s joining the cast of the “Sex and the City” spinoff on Wednesday, sharing a photo of the Season 3 premiere script via Instagram. The photo reveals she’s playing a character named Mary and that the episode is titled, “Outlook Good.” It will be written and directed by executive producer Michael Patrick King.
“Here comes mary #andjustlikethat @hbo,” she captioned the photo. She also shared a selfie of herself with gray curly hair, captioned, “U like?”
O’Donnell previously hosted her own talk show, “The Rosie O’Donnell Show,” from 1996 to 2002. She went on to serve as a moderator on “The View” for one year from 2006 to 2007. She last appeared on television in 2022 in Showtime’s “American Gigolo.”
Earlier in the day, Sarah Jessica Parker, who portrays lead Carrie Bradshaw, shared photos of scripts as well, tagging Kristin Davis (Charlotte), Cynthia Nixon (Miranda), Mario Cantone (Anthony), Nicole Ari Parker (Lisa), Sarita Choudhury (Seema) and Katerina Tannenbaum (Lisette).
A Max spokesperson confirmed to Variety O’Donnell has been added to the cast. Among the departures for “And Just Like That” Season 3 are Karen Pittman, who played Nya Wallace, Sara Ramírez, who played Che Diaz. The series is slated to debut in 2025.
