Carly and Cesare “Chez” De Bartolo want to revive the post-prandial “passeggiata” — the leisurely stroll after dinner, best performed with someone special on one arm and an ice-cream in the other hand.

Sounds romantic. Then again, the De Bartolos have a vested interest in the people of Perth promenading. They own the Chicho Gelato stores in Northbridge and Fremantle, with their third and biggest set to open soon in Mt Lawley.
