KOTA KINABALU: A lorry driver was jailed for two days and fined RM10,000 for offering RM150 to a traffic policeman after he was found to be driving without a license.

The bribe was offered so that the policeman would release the driver’s girlfriend who did not possess any identification documents.

He was instructed to serve the jail term from the date of sentencing and to pay the fine, in default a three-month imprisonment.
