A wide array of emotions have rippled throughout theaters nationwide the past two weeks as people have experienced the Zendaya-led “Challengers” for the first time.
Some may have left have their respective screenings with the new motivation to take on tennis this summer. Others may have been convinced to dabble in polyamory. And the least adventurous viewers (or most pragmatic, if you will) began scrolling the web — and passionately sharing their findings on Twitter — to see which articles of clothing from the film were already available to purchase.
At this point, we’ve all seen the $330 Loewe “I Told Ya” t-shirt, worn by both Zendaya’s Tashi and Josh O’Connor’s Patrick at different points in the film. Both Zendaya and O’Connor have also been photographed wearing the tee in the real world through the press cycle. The cotton t-shirt is part of Loewe’s “Challengers” collection, curated by the luxury brand’s creative director Jonathan Anderson, who served as the costume designer on the film.
Thankfully, there are hundreds of more affordable dupes of the slogan tee on sites such as Etsy. The dupe below, which costs $13 on Etsy, is already a bestseller on the e-commerce site following the film’s release.
But eagle-eyed fans are also interested in another merch item spawned by “Challengers”: a New Rochelle, N.Y Challenger t-shirt, meant to replicate the sports merch likely sold at the climactic tennis tournament that pits Patrick and Art (Mike Faist) against each other one last time.
One fan on Twitter, after seeing the tee posted on their timeline, wrote “People have to stop designing good challengers shirts i’m genuinely not strong enough for it.”
If you, too, aren’t strong enough: shop the shirt below:
