Severe Weather Team 2 is tracking another round of storms over north Georgia Thursday morning with the risk for embedded strong to severe storms.
Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brian Monahan says another round of strong and severe storms will move into north Georgia and metro Atlanta area on Thursday.
Damaging wind gusts and hail are the main impacts. Brief tornadoes remain possible.
A tornado watch has been issued for all of north Georgia until 1 p.m. The watch also includes Cleburne and Randolph counties in Alabama in the Channel 2 Action News viewing area.
Gilmer County Schools and Habersham County Schools will be closed on Thursday. Union County Schools will move to virtual for some students.

A ground stop has been issued at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
8:45 a.m.
Numerous roads are closed in Habersham County due to downed trees, power lines and flooding.
8:43 a.m.
A tree is down on top of a car on North Meadow Parkway in Roswell. No injuries have been reported.
8:25 a.m.
In Fannin County, all lanes are blocked on SR 60 N at Young Stone Dr. due to road debris.

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Barrow, Bank, Clarke, Hall, Jackson and Madison counties until 8:45 a.m.

The Blairsville Campus will remain open and on a normal schedule. If you are impacted by power outages, downed trees, or flooded roads, your child’s school will excuse either a tardy or absence today. Please be sure to use extreme caution when commuting to school this morning.”

Channel 2′s Daryn Moore spotted damage at this home off Ellington Road in Ellijay.
In Hall County, about 2,760 Georgia Power customers are without power.
For Georgia EMC, it is reporting 12,250 customers in north Georgia, 3,564 customers in northeast Georgia and 2,235 customers without power.
