Perth’s runaway property prices have left first-homebuyers with just six Perth suburbs with a median house price below the newly lifted stamp duty exemption threshold of $450,000.
The threshold was raised for the first time in a decade but data provided by the Real Estate Institute of WA shows the $20,000 increase will do little to offset nation-leading house price growth over the past two years.
