In response to the criticism surrounding Ranbir Kapoor’s role in Animal, Manoj Bajpayee expressed his curiosity as to why people are unable to move on. He states that while it is okay for someone to refuse to view a movie they disagree with; they shouldn’t cause problems for other people.

During an interview with Pinkvilla, Manoj discussed the controversy surrounding the movie. “I am very clear, if many people disagree or don’t like a film, what’s wrong with that? The film is released, does its business, and moves on. The money goes into the producer’s pocket; let them take it; they invested in the movie,” he said.
“If you don’t want to watch it, then don’t. If you disagree with something, it’s better not to watch it, but don’t create trouble for the movie. You will be only encouraging a bad notion by doing so. What if others hinder your work in the same way? There should be open discourse without calls for bans or protests,” the actor added
He even made a joke about how people shouldn’t watch a movie if they don’t like it, which would explain why it didn’t do well at the box office. Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film has come under fire since its premiere due to its depiction of women characters and excessive violence. Many people on social media have called it “problematic” because of how it portrays women. It turned out to be one of 2023’s biggest box office successes.
Manoj considered Ram Charan and Jr. NTR’s RRR to be “entertaining and original,” but he was all praise for Rishab Shetty’s Kantara, Ranbir’s Animal, and Yami Gautam’s Article 370 in the same interview.
Manoj was last seen in Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout. He will soon appear in Bhaiyya Ji which will be released on May 24.
