Among a plethora of experienced actors and stars like Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari, and others, Sharmin Segal made her web-series debut with Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar which also marked the debut web-show of her uncle Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Considering that she has been a part of the film industry since childhood, Sharmin has met several celebrities even before she made her debut and in a recent interaction, shared her first experience of meeting a celebrity which is none other than Salman Khan.
Sharmin Segal recalls the time when Salman Khan ‘proposed’ to her and here’s what she replied
As Sharmin Segal engaged in a discussion about her journey in the film industry, she recalled meeting a celebrity for the first time. Sharing this memory during an interaction with Zoom, Sharmin revealed that Salman Khan had proposed to her jokingly and she had declined. “I was like 2 or 3 something, and he was like, “Will you marry me?” and I said, “No!” added the actress. Interestingly, the actress is now married and tied the knot with entrepreneur Aman Mehta in November 2023.
Sharmin Segal essayed the role of Manisha Koirala’s youngest daughter Alamzeb, who is all set to make her debut as a courtesan in Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar but ends up falling in love with a Nawab even before that. While she has been receiving mixed reviews for her performance as an innocent pawn in the game of love, betrayal, deceit, power, patriotism, and freedom, the actress has also addressed the subject of nepotism wherein she discussed about working with her uncle Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the show.
For the unversed, Sharmin made her Hindi film debut alongside Meezan Jaffrey in Malaal and later went on to feature in the 2022 horror comedy Athithi Bhooto Bhava starring Pratik Gandhi and Jackie Shroff.
