NEW YORK, May 16 (Xinhua) — U.S. stocks ended lower on Thursday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 38.62 points, or 0.10 percent, to 39,869.38. The S&P 500 sank 11.05 points, or 0.21 percent, to 5,297.1. The Nasdaq Composite Index shed 44.07 points, or 0.26 percent, to 16,698.32.
