Person rushed to hospital after being freed from wreckage in Adams County crash – MASHAHER


ADAMS COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– One person was rushed to the hospital after crews freed them from the wreckage in a crash in Adams County Wednesday morning.

There was a motor vehicle crash with entrapment at the 200 block of Boyd School Road in Cumberland Township just after 10 a.m., Gettysburg Fire wrote in a Facebook post.

Crews went right to work after arriving at the scene, they “began stabilization of the vehicle along with extrication,” the post reads. It took about 40 minutes for crews to free the person from the wreckage.

The person was hurried to a trauma center after they were freed, the post states. Their current condition is unknown.

Damaged bridge spurs 36-mile detour in Perry County

The road was shut down as crews worked on freeing the trapped occupant in the vehicle, the fire department wrote.

The crash is under investigation by Cumberland Township Police.
